Refuge Vow Ceremony with Lama Palden Drolma

Sunday, February 8 | 3 - 5 PM Pacific
In Person at Wisdom River Meditation Center & Online via Zoom

Taking formal refuge in the Buddha, Dharma and Sangha is a powerful way to publicly declare your intention to awaken using the Buddha Dharma for inspiration and guidance. The Refuge Ceremony goes back to the time of the Buddha and is a ceremony where we formally make a vow to turn our body, speech and mind towards awakening, towards our true nature - Buddha Nature.

The Refuge Ceremony gives us a space to formally set our intention and make a commitment to turn toward awakening and rely on the path of teachings and practices embodied in the lineages of the Buddha. The vow enters your mindstream to serve as a strong reminder of what you most value, sending you back to what truly helps when the going gets rough and you are tempted away from living your deepest values.

This ceremony is for those taking refuge for the first time as well as those wishing to renew their vows. All are welcome to witness and support those taking or renewing their vows.

Registration closes on Thursday, February 5 at 12 PM Pacific.
